Marche region is located in central Italy among the Apennine mountains and the Adriatic coast with a mountainous terrain, free of plains.
The region is different, unusual, wonderful and expresses its beauty in many forms: sandy beaches and unforgettable seaside resorts, beautiful hills that testify the past and tell the old history, mountains for winter sports enthusiasts, art and traditions, delicious cuisine... all these things in one single piece of land!
The region is mostly represented by the hills and the mountains with low and sandy beaches close to beautiful seaside resorts such as: Senigallia, Pesaro, Civitanova Marche, San Benedetto del Tronto.
Nature lovers can find on Riviera del Conero or in various parks and nature reserves (eg. Parco dei Monti Sibillini and Monti della Laga) evocative landscapes that often are still wild.
Trekking in these areas is almost obligatory, as well as a visit to the beautiful Frasassi caves, originated by the karsts phenomenon and inhabited since prehistoric times.
The cuisine is excellent for the variety and the quality of local products: vegetables, meat, fish, wild herbs and aromatic sauces…
The "porchetta" (pork roast), stuffed Ascoli stuffed olives breaded and fried, delicious fish soups .. are all typical dishes of this region…
Moreover, the vineyards and the orchards, the houses with historic aspect, the mansion houses transformed into farms and guesthouses, the hills…are all suggestive elements that give visitors the impression of a visit into the past...
